Call me apps crazy, but I'm new to the concept. That's because I delayed getting a smartphone until recently. Silly me -- I truly believed I didn't need one. (Famous last words uttered just before I crawled out from under that rock.)
In the month since I've gotten my iPhone, I've grown up a bit. Though I resisted Angry Birds, I began by downloading fun, creative apps recommended by my friends and other websites. They were entertaining, but I use them infrequently.
Then I moved on to searching out practical, useful apps. That led me to wonder, "Hmmm...what about apps that could enhance my sense of safety and security? Or put me in touch with others quickly if I need help?"
My male friends and acquaintances -- or my husband -- may not find the following useful. But as a woman, if I were in a situation that made me uncomfortable, these are the apps I would turn to. It's a short list -- only five -- but all have free versions and they don't take up much space on your iPhone or Android. And now that I'm no longer living under that rock, all five are on my smartphone. Better safe than sorry is my new motto.

It’s an awesome paragraph designed for all the internet visitors; they will take advantage from it I am sure.
