Imagine a war in which nobody is killed but nearly everybody is raped. That's what's happening in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the eastern province of Ituri. In one village, females and males from infants to the elderly were victimized over several days.
This systematic rape is being labeled by activists and journalists as a form of terrorism. My colleague Amy Zalman writes about this horrific practice in "Rape as Terrorism" in her Terrorism Issues blog.
