Shady Character - Naked Woman in Dick Cheney's Sunglasses?

- Daniel Kurtzman, About.com Guide to Political Humor, has the photo and a closeup.
- David Emery, Guide to Urban Legends, offers up online speculation as to what that reflected image might be.
Urban Legends also has a link to the VP's official White House web page. The caption under the photo by David Bohrer reads, "Vice President Dick Cheney spends an afternoon fly-fishing on the Snake River in Idaho."
I'm not below reaching for low-hanging fruit, so I'm just going to say it: Anyone else find the close proximity of the words 'fly-fishing' and 'snake' weirdly funny? I trust that the fishing was good for Mr. Cheney, and that any potentially career-ending venomous snakes nearby stayed dormant.

Sorry… it is just a fishing rod… but just hope that the camera man was too close in range of that hoke… or we might be seeing a press conference with him with a fly lure hooked to his face apologizing for the agony he put the VP through.
Whiteknyght, dude, where’s your reading glasses? (Cue Aerosmith.) Rod looks like a lady…
I left them at my undisclosed location!!!
the creep makes me not want to fly-fish anymore
Y’know, not to defend the vice-president, but that really doesn’t look like a naked woman at all to me–unless it’s an unusually long-legged, headless naked woman who carries her breasts on her shoulders.
And it wouldn’t make sense for it t be a naked woman anyway: This was an official White House photograph. Why the heck would Dick Cheney be hanging out with a naked woman (who presumably isn’t his wife) with a White House photographer standing nearby?
