- I am going to make every change I have to in order to walk a marathon in 2012. I have two half-marathons finished but something always comes up (even if I have to make it up) to stop me from training for the big one. This is the year I'm pushing out of my comfort, or lazy zone.

Same old resolutions plus one new one
- Like everyone else, I'd like to lose the weight I gained over the holidays and a little more to be in shape for summer. I need to reevaluate my workout and kick it up a notch. Weight loss, exercise better, eating less are all things I've resolved with each new year. But this year I'm going to do something different. I'm going to be deliberate about reaching out to distant friends and relatives using Facebook. Even if I just write one note once a week, at the end of a year I'll have made better connections to 52 people I've lost touch with. That's something I think is manageabe and something I hope to keep up with in the new year.
