After constantly being bombarded by comments from strangers along the lines of "Wow..four boys...your life must be crazy!" Martinez decided to publicly address some of the most common misconceptions surrounding the raising of sons. Her blog Raising Boys World provides information on how to raise the kind of responsible, respectful and confident members of society that any mother would be proud of.
According to Martinez, raising four sons is nothing extraordinary: “My boys are the least of my troubles. They are really a joy." Her blog is intended for parents with boys who need advice and are looking to connect to moms with similar experiences. "I wanted to create a place where women can gather, share information, and voice those concerns that moms face as they struggle with raising boys,” she says.
Like any working mother, Martinez negotiates the job/kid juggle daily and has spent nearly a decade trying to blend the two worlds of career and family with varying degrees of success.
