Today is a special day that Hallmark hasn't yet developed a card for -- Equal Pay Day. So if nobody else extends to you these good wishes, I will: Happy Equal Pay Day!
If you're not familiar with this annual "celebration" of what it takes for a woman to earn what a man earns in a year, here's an explanation of Equal Pay Day.
There's good news for you if you're under 30, unmarried and single, and living in one of the nation's top 150 cities. Every day for you is Equal Pay Day, as studies show you're likely earning more than your male peers. Other women who enjoy Equal Pay Day every day are speech-language pathologists (earning the same as men), while computer software engineers come close (earning 87.3% of what men earn) as do pharmacists (earning 84.9% of men's earnings.)
