You've lost your job, nobody's hiring in your career field, you're not sure how you're going to pay the bills, and you're young with a decent enough body. Many women in this situation might think of taking off and starting somewhere new and different.
A daring few are starting somewhere new and different by taking it off. And they're making an obscene amount of money, often far more than what they previously earned. If the difference between being in the red and being in the black hinges on wearing (or not wearing) a couple of layers of clothing, would you strip away your buttoned-down life?
USA Today reports on the growing trend of women who work as dancers in strip clubs, pose nude for men's magazines - even work in adult films - to make money in these tough economic times. Many clubs are seeing double the number of applicants this year over last year.
What are your thoughts? Would you do this to make ends meet? Is it empowering - or degrading - for women? Could you imagine the reaction of the guys in the photo if either one saw his wife or daughter standing there instead?

The darkest night of my life was after a job interview in 1982. I graduated first in my class undergrad and had an MBA with distinction. The man interviewing me hadn’t graduated from college. We worked in human resources ~ the folks who are supposed to prevent sexual harassment.
The only “credential” that mattered to him was whether or not I’d sleep with him as a term and condition of employment.
So, I went to law school only to discover that the same was true in law firms. I refused to prostitute myself and was replaced by women who were willing.
The only satisfaction I got was telling a potential employer that if I was going to have to work “overtime” that I expected to be fully compensated at the going rate of a high class call girl. I’ll never forget the shocked look on his face.
I think that you hit the nail on the head with your closing comments…Every girl in the sex industry is someone’s daughter and might be/is/will be someones wife. But the even sadder truth is that many of those women and girls did not have a choice in the matter, instead they are victims of sex trafficking, sold by their parents, tricked by pimps or just kidnapped.
This goes way beyond the statement that blondes are dyeing their hair darker to become “more credible” and “more employable”.
I wonder why it is that women are the ones who have to consider this question while men don’t. No one asks men, “would you strip down and sell your dignity in order to support your kids and wife?” It’s the women who are being lured into jobs that could destroy their lives and their spirits by this economic downturn. And if they are young and desperate enough, they may not even know (or consider) the costs until many years later. I think it’s a tragedy.
because no one ever wanted to pay money to see my naked butt… that’s why.
On the one hand, many of us have worked so hard to get to a place of respectability so we and our daughters and grand-daughters will not be treated as sex objects; on the other hand, there are women who go the shortest route to money, they voluntarily sell their sexuality and body for profit. They do all of us shame, they do us harm, they put the future of our female descendants in jeopardy.
Is it all just about money? What about for those pimps, those porn producers, those kidnappers, those parents, wasn’t it about just money too?
PETA, in its effort to sell vegetarianism, resorted to a low of using women and sex for an ad that even NBC declared “depicts a level of sexuality exceeding our standards.”
Sex sells. But where did all those sexual images come from if not
due to willing women?
We need to rethink the whole issue among ourselves.

there are men prostitutes.however women are the usual ones known to make money in the trade. however a pimp takes a bigger share.
u idiot guys……..if any person in my contact had done so…i would have not even seen their faces in my hole life…..n thats what every women on this earth should do…….and leave these rascals do sex with each other or sell themselves fr money………women can live the life of poor n then afterwards meet their ends…….or may be they can go 2 any NGO but they should only lead a life of respectfulness……..this is my thinking……but i dont no about u!
