- It's all about the internet, baby...and PayPal. The PR firm just put up The Nadya Suleman Family website, where you can see photos of those preemies (with IV lines and monitor leads) curled up in their respective incubators. If it tugs at your heart, you can instantly make a PayPal donation online. Of course, the website is copyrighted by Nadya's PR firm.
There's been a lot of fact-checking regarding the Suleman family's financial situation. The best I've seen so far comes from CaliGirl9, who describes herself as "a middle-aged moderate Republican who is concerned about the direction this country is taking." She's one of the contributors at Trials & Tribulations, a blog which provides in-depth true crime reporting.
Although, as she points out, it isn't the site's usual focus, she's written a long and extensive post on the Nadya Suleman case questioning who should and will pay for this debacle. It's a thorough fact-based examination chock-full of concrete information on many aspects including the Social Security benefits collected by Nadya's other children, her own income from disability payments, the costs of preemie care, her professional and educational background, her relationship with her ex-husband, and nearly every other loose thread.

I am a very attractive educated single (not by choice) childless (not by choice) woman Nadya’s age, pining to become a loving mother.
People who write Nadya hate messages are either jealous of her luck to have a large family she actually loves, or are women haters, or both. They are so brainwashed that they accept the upper classes who dwell on luxuries on the backs of the poor, but cannot accept that a woman who is not rich should have children. Men who spend lots of money on porn and are incapable of being husbands and fathers, feign worry that Nadya’s kids will steal their taxpayer money. Irresponsible men who are incapable of being family men should actually pay a state tax that will help children grow, and that will help single mothers raise children! This hapens in more equlitarian and advanced societies.
Who wants to be asingle mother? Men are forcing us into thi, by refusing to commit. It is those sterile by choice yet sex-drivn men who are useless to humanity, not Nadya. I hope Nadya’s exmaple is helping open up people’s minds a bit.
Why are we at the point where women even need to get inseminated through expensive donations? How may men have left a woman, or made her feel emotionaly unhealthy, because she expressed the healthy normal wish to have a family?

Your comments constitute a celebration of stupidity. Please note that before this woman had her 8 babies, she already had 6 children whom should could not afford to raise on her own. First of all, I think it is questionable that the Nadya Suleman case is an issue of feminism or patriarchy. The response to it has, however, taken that tone. In your case, I think you need to do a little research on the fundamental philosophies of feminism. I’d like to know what kind of “damage that the ‘egalitarian,’ feminist movement has done to our country,” except to falsely threaten the people who receive a warped portrayal of feminism and its goals (from people like you, perhaps). I’d also like to know where your “90+ percent of american women” statistic comes from, especially because you are not one of those voices yourself. Feminism is about gender equality, which is ofcourse idealistic, but not intended to take away the rights of anyone, including men.

Here’s another observation on the consequences and hypocrisy of “choice.” IVF in many ways is the compliment to abortion… both are medical interventions centering around women’s health care, reproduction, etc. Now, some would agrue that any doctor denying the latter is denying a woman to the access to a basic right of self-determination… Yet, look at the comments about the doctor who performed the former on the Octo-mom (my satirical jabs included). What if he and many other doctors started refusing – for whatever ethical reasons – would they also be so decried for denying a segment of women their “choices.”

Nadya CHOSE to bring to this world FATHERLESS children. She was married and left her husband “because she wanted kids” (???)
She allegedly refused to marry her unnamed “boyfried” and only wanted him to donate sperm so she could be a single mother.
Now, she deprived 14 kids – TEN of them BOYS – of having a father in their lives.
She wants kids to “unconditionally love her”.
Being a mother is about GIVING love, not craving it.
“Octo-mom”??? She is octo-WOMB.
If she is truly a mother, if she truly loves those helpless babies, she can do a truly loving, unselfish thing by getting them adopted into responsible, loving, financially stable families where EACH of them can get enough attention and resources.
But she won’t do so, at least not voluntarily. I really hope CPS/HHS steps in.

You have those children and I’m sure you love them and I believe that they should allow you to ask for donations.All the talk in the world won’t undo the babies birth and you should be allowed to go to any lenghts to support them. One big question I have is:
How did she recieve financial assistance if she had the $10,000,00 to pay for the IVF?
She has her mattresses on the floor in her bedroom as it showed in the interview and a very bare home…
I’m not against IVF, in fact I’m pleased that woman can have that for help in conception. What troubles me is the fact that she does not have the means to support them all…w/o help from the state and goverment assistance. She is also fond of lying as it is apparent from her earlier photos the difference in her looks…yet she denies any treatment done to her lips or face. Why all the lying?
She has the time for the nail manicures yet her dishes stay dirty in her sink as she pointed out in the interviewing at her home.
If she isn’t paying rent as her mother has previously stated and is not buying things ie: furniture for her home/food for her children. What has happened with her money? She obviously used it instead for more children through invitro …

Nadya is a selfish woman who uses her children for financial gain only. I have 3 children and would love to have more, but as responsible parents my husband and I have to put our childrens needs first. Something blow up lips never considered. Registered nurses have reported her to authorities because she was out shopping for the entire day or spending the time blogging on the computer instead of using the critical first few weeks of bonding time, which is important as most moms know. I can understand if someone makes a very bad decision once or twice, but come on, repeating the same insanity over and over again is not considered a “bad decision” or “going with her heart” as she puts it.
