Hillary Clinton in 2008 - Year in Review

Thursday December 18, 2008
In 2008, I wrote a great deal about Hillary Clinton, and though I haven't yet counted the articles, the blog posts alone number about 60. Within these posts are hundreds of links to sources, opinions, and articles covering Clinton's campaign and the events that shaped her candidacy. Many (if not the majority) are women's voices and words; some are well-known and others you should get to know.

A lot of us (me included) fixated on Sarah Palin for two months, but if you look at the whole enchilada, well, then 2008 should rightly be regarded as the year of Hillary Clinton. To use a checkers analogy, she took her piece all the way to the other side of the board and in getting herself crowned queen, she moved us all forward in the game of politics and gender.

I've assembled links to every blog post related to Hillary Clinton in 2008 to take readers month-by-month through her candidacy and its enduring legacy. Before we move forward and embrace a new year of optimism and change, let's takea moment to look back at the year now drawing to a close and acknowledge the hard knocks that Hillary sustained as she paved the way. She opened the door to the White House, and thanks to her, someday one of us is going to step through.

Hillary is awesome - there was no candidate of either party who knew more or worked harder. There was also no candidiate of either party (including Obama) who got more votes than her in the primary.

She is an icon - a legend, a superstar!
