Summers All Too Brief - Controversial Treasury Secretary Choice Off Obama's Short List?

Former Harvard President Larry Summers, who left as Secretary of the Treasury under the Bill Clinton administration to head up the prestigious university, may no longer be under consideration by President-elect Barack Obama for a return engagement in that post.

Politico.com has details, which suggests that the backlash against a possible Summers pick may have deep-sixed the economist whose statements about women's lack of success in math and science fields has made him a pariah to many.
