GPS Underwear No Real Threat to Victoria's Secret

Friday November 7, 2008
You know that TV credit card commercial with the tagline, "What's in your wallet?" Women who enjoy their privacy should be asking themselves a similar question when it comes to their underwear.

My colleague Buck Wolfe of Weird News has the lowdown on a wackly Brazilian designer who's placed a tiny GPS system in his pricey "Find Me If You Can" lingerie. Buck calls it a 'newfangled chastity belt.' I guess I'm less alarmed because we all change our underwear daily - don't we? - and that GPS thingy is about the size of my friend Martha's insulin pump, so it's pretty obvious that something weird is going on. Plus, the bra-and-panty set, complete with faux-pearl collar, is UG-LEE.

If insecure husbands and jealous boyfriends feel the need to purchase this to keep tabs on the woman in their lives, they'd be better off hiring a private investigator.
