Say It Ain't So, O - Michelle to Stay at Home?

I'm not one to peruse certain infamous websites, but faithful reader WhiteKnyght just left this comment minutes ago:
This just in... Drudge is reporting from inside the Obama campaign that Michelle is not accompanying him on his trip to Afghanistan and Iraq... and will not have an official role in the administration... "she will stay at home and raise the children."I looked to verify, and the Drudge Report claims:So someone is spinning those images... so she is less threatening.
NEW YORK TIMES reporter Patrick 'The Biographer' Healy will be first out with the full details in the coming days, newsroom sources tell DRUDGE.Please tell me the Obama campaign isn't going to muzzle Michelle.
This woman impresses the hell outta me. I love her.
I love her strong-mindedness and her candor. I admire how she's worked hard and earned everything that's come her way. I respect that she's continued to stay positive and energetic even though she initially didn't want her husband to run for President.
This is not a threat. But if Michelle stays at home because her involvement in a future Obama administration might be seen as a threat to his electability, I might just 'stay at home' - in solidarity with Michelle - on Election Day.
It's not my intent to keep a good man down. I just don't want to see a good woman forced out because of old-fashioned thinking in a campaign that's supposed to be about change.

Guess I’m puzzled by why Drudge thinks this story has significance. So what if she wants to stay home? I’m unaware that she’s shown any particulr interest in foreign affairs, but seems, instead much more focused on education, health care and other issues challenging U.S. families here at home.
Besides, what’s wrong with staying home with one’s children for a few precious days? Sounds lovely to most parents I know, both men and women. Besides, Michelle Obama has repeatedly stated that her first priority is raising their chldren. Makes good sense to me.
