Men Think Sex, Women Think Another 4-Letter Word - S-H-O-P

Monday June 16, 2008
Props to puja111 who posted this on the Women's Issues forum: Women think shopping, men think sex.

And here's the complete article from the UK's Daily Mail online. We have Cosmopolitan UK to thank for devising the survey that tells us, shoppingwise, why women are from Macy's and men are from Home Depot:

Perhaps most worryingly for men, half of those surveyed said they preferred shopping to spending time with their partner, and nearly as many confessed to keeping their shopping escapades secret from their partner to hide their level of spending.

The survey suggests that the thrill is in the chase for women where shopping is concerned.

When I told my 17-year old daughter about the survey's claim that men think sex and women think shopping, she replied, "Isn't that obvious?"

I am a 43 year old grandmother and find it hard to believe that I could possibly be the only woman alive who has and still prefers sex over shopping. The euphoric feeling from sex is something I’ve never felt after shopping. Some women are CRAZY.

This woman thinks SEX, but I’d be the first to say sex after 40 y.o. is very different from sex after 20 y.o.

Sex over 40 y.o. comes with a price & let’s face it…most of us aren’t willing to pay up even to have sex!!! I hear the same old stories from women married to men that they don’t get enough emotional support or time from them, but they are expected to give it to them at THEIR convenience. They are tired of giving & not having it reciprocated.

As a gay woman, we have our issues, but this isn’t one of them. You gotta give to receive! You straight girls are entirely on your own there, but I hear ya…just wished your men did too since I’ve got my hands full already . Peace.
