Tricia Walsh Smith - YouTube Rant About Her Husband, Their Divorce

Thursday April 17, 2008
Actress, wife, and now internet video superstar, Trisha Walsh Smith is burning up YouTube with an extended rant about her husband and their divorce. As I write this 2,266, 425 million have taken a look. I know, with this link, you'll add to her tally.

Today's morning talk shows all booked psychologists to analyze her actions. They're universal in describing her as an exhibitionist seeking the spotlight. Or is she a scorned and humiliated woman simply turning the tables and seeking her chance to humiliate her husband?

Trisha Walsh Smith is bitter, emotionally ugly, specific about his actions, embarrassingly personal, and obviously rejected and hurt. But does she have the right to air her dirty laundry on YouTube? And would you do the same in her situation?

Smith's video opens with the title, "One More Crazy Day in the Life of a Phoenix Rising from the Ashes." Many are saying that in reality, her online rant shows nothing more than an attention-crazed woman crashing and burning. What do you think?

(1) Michele says:

I think it was a whacky stunt, but, remember, this is a theater lady, playwright and actress, who in addition to feeling like she got the shaft, has a play she wants to promote. Throughout the six minute rant, we get an amazingly personal view of her, her play, her life and angst. Yes, she is outrageous, but, she has to be given tons of credit for the ingenuity it took to mastermind this promotion for her play opening in June, and to present her complaints. I wouldn’t have done it, but, I have to confess, I am in awe of how clever she is. I don’t think she’s crazy at all.

At first sight, Smith comes across as another Heather Mills bitter gold-digger. But Michele’s comment is wonderful insight about Smith’s intent. Best commentary I’ve read on Trisha Walsh Smith.

Mayb she went bout it wrong. But married that long deserves an anwser “of why are you divorcing me?”.
