Talk about using your celebrity for political purposes. We have Oprah at one end of the spectrum and now Tina Fey jumps on the teeter-totter of pop culture political endorsement to balance things out. Her appearance on Saturday Night Live was capped by the women's news segment and the brilliant 'Bitches' commentary, a small portion which is excerpted below:
FEY: ...[P]eople say that Hillary is a bitch. Let me say something about that: Yeah, she is. And so am I and so is this one. (pointing to Amy Poehler)The Reclusive Leftist has a partial transcript, and if you have the patience to sit through a commercial and the whole segment, watch it at NBC - it's at the very end of the clip.
POEHLER: Yeah, deal with it.
FEY: Know what? Bitches get stuff done.

I loved it. In fact, I wish she could get away with using it as a campaign slogan.
But because she can’t, I made myself a sign for my car.
Vote Hillary: B*#%hes get stuff done!!
I am not drinking that Obama KoolAid!
Well, she has a point – Bitches do get things done!
America has such a poverty mentality right now that they seem to be leaning towards the candidate that they think ‘understands’. They want someone to give that warm fuzzy feeling that everything will be alright. I think that’s why Huckabee has done as well as he has.
Bitches might get things done, but they don’t win any popularity contests.
Just my 2 cents -
Carole
Do you need help getting things done?
I’m sorry to see that this article only felt that excerpt was worth printing. Tina Fey made some good points in that segment.
Vote Hillary 2008!!
I think it is unfair how when Sarah Palin can make a joke about Obama it is okay but when Obama make a comment about reality..It is taking a a turn around oh he said this and that…Republican are so Racist to blacks…Go Obama for someone who really care…Hilary is way better than Palin…They are making experience a big issue but Palin at got no more experience than me I got 2 kids and a live too…If they want to go that way…
