No Country for Old (Wo)men? Hillary Clinton's Next Few Days

Monday February 25, 2008
We're coming down to the wire for Hillary Clinton's make-or-break date on March 4, 2008, and these are some of the challenges she's facing:

  • Ellen Goodman at the Boston Globe on "a woman running as the fighter and a man modeling a 'woman's way' of leading."

  • Peggy Simpson, former AP reporter and Washington Bureau chief for Ms. magazine, on Clinton's Catch-22 and the dangers of going negative.

  • Susan Estrich, law professor, first woman to manage a U.S. presidential campaign, and FOX News commentator, on being in the middle of a campaign, unable to explain to your boss how she/he could do better - and, in this case, speculating that Hillary's situation has to do with the G word.
