The Resignation of Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton is sounding a little hoarse tonight. Her bright power suit is vivid schoolbus yellow. She's solidly optimistic as she addresses her followers in New York State who cheer her on. Her speech is standard-issue, so much so that ABC News cuts away from her mid-sentence to talk with Mike Huckabee.

She seems tired, and lacks the energy that surrounds her opponent's campaign.

California has yet to report in, but she's won fewer states than him thus far - Obama's got ten, and she's got six as of this writing.

There's a look on her face that I haven't seen before. It's a weary resignation to a truth that is taking shape before her eyes. Hillary Clinton's path to the presidency will very likely stop short of the White House. Short of the Democratic Party nomination.

Tonight, for the first time, she's seeing the end of the tunnel without the illusion of inevitability affecting her vision...and the light at the end is dimming...

I thought just the opposite! That Hillary seems renewed and ready to really TALK ISSUES and inspire (in that order! I read Obama’s book and he had nothing to say about women’s issues!

I feel that white women of America have been offered up as reparations in making Obama the first Black President of the U.S. The only problem is he’s only half black.

So noble: the Kennedy’s, the Kerry’s, fine upstanding white MEN willing to offer up Hillary. But they sure had their reign at power. And that the party is fine with it tells me there are too many sell-outs in this election.

After 90 years of having the right to vote, and waiting for a woman to vote for, we’ve been sold up the river.

This country has drawn up the lines, making a mockery of the system but Shhhh we won’t tell anybody that Obama’s not all black – but DAMN he sure is ALL MAN

Dear Debra,
I want you to understand in this world; one drop of African ancestry means you are Black.
It is unfortunate Barack is not accepted as white, since his mother and grandmother raised him.
Perhaps, this is why he wants unity. Maybe being a product of bias on both sides speaks to his endeavor to truly make America a melting pot.

GOOD RIDDANCE. Her bizarre and unconstitutional censorship campaigns cost many innocent people their livelihoods, their dignity and their civil rights. After ten years I still haven’t forgotten “Attorney” Hillary’s eager willingness to abuse her fellow citizens to gain right-wing Senatorial votes. She’s an inappropriate choice of a leader unless you favor Stalinist Russia.
