Not a New Year's Resolution - A Life Change

Friday December 21, 2007
I'd like to wish you Happy Holidays, but I know happiness isn't exactly what many women may be feeling about now. Too much food, too much stress, too much family drama, too much guilt.

To paraphrase a popular holiday song, "It's the Most Guiltiest Time of the Year."

Between returning unwanted presents to the store, and ignoring the internal rumblings of personal dissatisfaction that want to manifest themselves as Your List of New Year's Resolutions for 2008, you're bound to feel guilty.

And you have every right to feel a little grumpy too.

Consider this: Anger is a lot easier to access emotionally than fear, and fear is at the heart of many decisions to change. So by allowing your inner Grumpy to surface, you're already one step on the road to transformation.

Don't let the fact that the New Year is coming stop you from making a change in your life, even though most people who make resolutions don't follow through. Because we're talking life changes, NOT resolutions.

And it's not about the New Year. It's about the new you, and all it takes is one change - you changing your mind.
