Catwoman's New Life - Julie Newmar's Hollywood Success Story

Sunday November 25, 2007
Julie Newmar became a household name when she played Catwoman in the 1960s TV series Batman.

But playing a sexy villain was nothing compared to surviving a divorce, raising a special needs child, changing careers, going back to school, and building a multi-million-dollar real estate empire.

Julie Newmar accomplished all this after the age of 46.

Jane Wollman Rusoff tells Newmar's story in an article about the many lives the former Catwoman lived to create the best life possible for herself and her son John.

Too often the 'where are they now?' stories on TV and in the tabloids zero in on the dark side of former TV stars' lives. Newmar's story is different, because it's the tale of a woman who loved her son so much that she never gave up on him...or on herself.
